As part of its commitment to the global forest industry, Heartwood Plantations' manager, Jon Lambert, founded Beyond Subsistence in 2008. Beyond Subsistence is a non-profit Christian organisation established to provide forestry and agroforestry support for people groups living in poverty. Beyond Subsistence is currently undertaking a number of projects in Africa.
